Author Andy Cunningham wins Best Marketing Book of the Year
Andy Cunningham is a widely-recognized marketing expert credited with helping technology giants like Google, Hallmark and BlackBerry elevate their brands, accelerate growth, and increase shareholder value.
Andy came to Silicon Valley in 1983 to work for Regis McKenna and help Steve Jobs launch the Macintosh. She continued to work with Steve for several years and has developed marketing, branding, and communication strategies for game-changing technologies and companies ever since. An entrepreneur in her own right, Andy has founded several marketing strategy firms and in 2000, launched ZERO1: The Art & Technology Network, an organization dedicated to shaping the future at the intersection of art and technology. Today she leads Cunningham Collective as President and CEO and holds the position of Interim CMO at Yext, a publicly traded online brand management company. After decades of experience, Andy developed a DNA-based methodology to help companies understand who they are and why they matter. This unique framework allows business leaders to leverage their corporate assets advantageously, maintain alignment throughout their company, establish genuine differentiation, and craft an authentic narrative that will resonate with their stakeholders. It's the key to corporate success.
In 2017, Andy published her signature methodology in Get to Aha!, a bestselling step-by-step guide to positioning any company for industry dominance. Praised by industry leaders for its easy-to-understand yet groundbreaking concepts, Get to Aha! is the go-to handbook for both young marketers wishing to think more strategically and CEO's looking to gain traction and crush their competition. It served as the basis for a 2018 course, taught by Andy at Menlo College, and a new strategic marketing campaign implemented by the university.
In addition to inspiring the next generation of marketers and continued consulting, Andy serves as an active member on a number of leading corporate boards such as Specialized Bicycle Components, Inc. (bicycles and gear) and RhythmOne plc (programmatic ad platform). She also acts as a strategic advisor for Virta Health, AirPR, Traackr, MixR and Wellomics. In addition, Andy sits on the boards of several institutions and non-profit organizations, including: The Aspen Institute; Menlo College; Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications; and ZERO1: The Art & Technology Network.
Andy graduated from Northwestern University and lives in Sausalito, California with her husband, Rand Siegfried.
